Devlin Teams-Up With Aurasma For Augmented Reality Watchtower Posters

Devlin's Ed Sheeran featured, Labrinth produced new single Watchtower now exists in a whole new reality...

Augmented Reality is in a tricky state of development. We touched on its perpetual state of purgatory in the mobile market right here, but its potential is real and very much how we thought the future would work. We've all seen Minority Report, right? Where retina scanning posters tailor your advertising needs directly to your subconcious? We're not quite there yet, but Devlin's added his lot to the development of the AU industry with his new poster campaign.

The Essex MC's new single Watchtower [which features Ed Sheeran] will be promoted with 2,000 posters across the UK bearing the logo of Augmented Reality company Aurasma, which offers a free download app on iTunes and Google Play, which will turn your street corner into a "virtual gig space" [kinda] by playing the single and allowing you to click through to purchase.

Devlin is delighted to be able to partner with Aurasma on the new single, which is available from August 19 "Nowadays it seems everyone has a smartphone and making posters play music is a cool way of using one, and hopefully makes the walk to work or the wait at the bus stop more enjoyable."
