Ex-Oasis front man, Liam Gallagher, has finally come out to explain why he slyly cut out brother Noel Gallagher from his acceptance speech at this year’s BRIT Awards (although this being Liam nothing is ever sly or subtle)…

When Oasis won the award for Best Album Of  30 Years with (What’s The Story) Morning Glory? at this year’s BRITs Liam name checked everyone who worked on the iconic masterpiece, except his brother Noel. Whilst this is typical behaviour from the younger Gallagher, please remind yourself that it was Noel who practically wrote all the songs that made this album an instant classic.

Speaking to StopCryingYourHeartOutNews.blogspot.com Liam explained why he snubbed big bro Noel in his acceptance speech. “I’m sick of it all being about me and Noel,” he explained, “The last couple of months has pretty much been all about me and him so I thought it was only right to mention the other lads who played on the album and the best fans in the world.”

He also went on to clarify why he threw the award into the crowd that night explaining that in the end it was ultimately for the fans. “I thought it was a nice gesture to give this to the fans,” he said. “Obviously it was misinterpreted as per usual.”

Liam has recently linked up with his former band mates (minus Noel of course) to work on new material for their album. No longer recording  as Oasis, Liam said that the new band haven’t decided on a name yet. However he did reveal that he’s open to do a collaboration with Jay-Z after the hip hop icon said he would like to work with him, “If the tune’s right and its not too far out of my comfort zone, then yeah, f**king right!” says Liam on the subject of a  possible collaboration in the future. I wonder how Noel would feel about that – Oh wait we know the answer to this, he probably wouldn’t give two f**ks.

After calling Liam Gallagher a k******d, Bolton bred comedian Peter Kay has once again started trading insults with with the Oasis lead singer, insulting him for the second time in a week…

The first incident was an off the microphone remark when mic wasn’t turned off. After ‘Little’ Liam accepted and then rejected the BRIT Award for Best album of 30 years by throwing it into the crowd and publicly shunning older brother Noel, Kay was heard saying ‘What a knobhead’, refering to Liam of course, when he thought the microphone was off.

Gallagher then responded with his characteristic charm by writing on his Twitter account (@liamgallagher) saying “Listen up fat f**k as a real Northerner I was brought up 2 say shit 2 people’s faces not behind their back. Live forever LG.”

Peter then responded on his official site Peterkay.co.uk, the comic saying “So it was the Brits last night (February 16) and I was honoured to be asked to host the show, especially with it being 30 years old. Congratulations to all the winners, including Noel Gallagher, who sadly didn’t get a mention (and who thankfully isn’t a knobhead).”

We don’t mind a big ol’ Celeb spat, but at some point, Liam should stop going around upsetting everyone, or he might not have any friends left!

Whilst GaGa may have walked away with a hat-trick of gongs and performed at last night’s awards show, it was Dizzee and Flo’s on-stage collaboration that was the most memorable point of the evening. On top of that they’ve both walked away with a trophy each as Raskit picked up the Best Male award and The Machine won probably the most coveted award of the evening; Best British Album for the number one selling Lungs.

All eyes prior to the show were on Cheryl Cole after it was alleged that her football hubby Ashley Cole has been playing away again. But, YES she turned up, YES her performance was kind of brilliant despite the horrendous lip-synching, YES she ripped off Janet and Beyonce with her dancing, and NO she was not wearing her wedding ring.

Other performances included Jay-Z and Alicia Keys performing Empire State Of Mind at an awards ceremony AGAIN! Jiggaman also won Best International Male and made sure to thank the Spice Girls for inspiring him?!? JLS performed and won Best Single for Beat Again and unsurprisingly back-flipped their way through the whole thing and also won the BRIT for the Best British Breakthrough Act (it should have gone to Florence!). Lily Allen opened the night with The Fear and won Best British Female (it should have gone to Florence!!), and Robbie Williams closed the event with a medley of his hits after winning the Outstanding Contribution To Music trophy (it should have gone to Florence!!! – ok maybe it should have gone to Take That).

The BRIT Awards were also celebrating 30 years of handing out temporary ego-boosts to musicians and they commemorated this by awarding the Spice Girls with the best BRITs Performance Of The Last 30 Years for their 1997 rendition of Wannabe/Who Do You Think You Are (remember the Ginger and her Union Jack dress/knickers combination?), and Oasis won BRITs Album Of The Last 30 Years for (What’s The Story?) Morning Glory. Liam Gallagher picked up the award on behalf of the now defunct band, he hailed ‘the best fans in the f**king world’ before throwing his microphone into the audience (not at Jay-Z). Host Peter Kay responded to this by labeling Liam a ‘kn*bhead.’

Our tip (as well as every-bloody-one else’s) for 2010 Ellie Goulding picked up the Critics Choice Award which has previously been won by Florence and Adele. Paul Epworth won best Producer for his work with Florence and Friendly Fires amongst others and Kasabian won Best Group and performed their track Fire whilst literally surrounded by a wall of flames. The big winner as previously stated was Lady GaGa who performed a muted (by her own very wacky standards) set in dedication to her friend Alexander McQueen; the fashion designer who committed suicide last week.
