So it seems that Lil Wayne has been busy… writing a book.

About to take on the literary world with all his might, Weezy will document the eight months he spent in prison for possession of a loaded gun. ‘Gone Till November’ will feature a mash-up of diary entries from when he was inside, along with stories of his experiences, the people he met behind bars and even his family. The apparently ‘very revealing’ book should be an interesting read!

Opening with Bang Bang Pow Pow (feat. Lil Wayne), we’re immediately hit with what is probably the best track on the album – a banger packed full of sweet, sweet strings. Next up is Bottlez (feat. Detail). An awesome bassline carries T’s self big-ups perfectly on this winning party track. “You aint got money like this, ching ching”. Dayum, no we probably haven’t Mr Pain. Stop making us jelz.

Default Picture is pretty damn crap. Twitter inspired lines such as “so DM me back”, “You make me spend my time, checking on your timeline” and “should I be unfollowing you?” makes us lol and vom simultaneously.  5 O’Clock (feat. Lily Allen & Wiz Khalifa) is a nice version of the original, with added mental images of Lily Allen (sorry, Cooper) wearing nothing but a chain.

Cue a couple of standard tunes, before Look At Her Go storms back into our good books with a great beat and wicked sample.

Mix’d Girl we’re not so sure of. T-Pain tells us “I’m tryna get mixed up tonight” before throwing out various combinations of mixed race that he wants to get his dirtee hands on. Umm…

Cowabunga indeed…

There are a lot more collabs on this album, with T mixing things up with NeYo, R.Kelly, One Chance and Chris Brown. Despite the massive potential here, it just isn’t anything special. Individually, the tracks aren’t too bad, neither is production, but one after another is too much. Don’t get me wrong, we all like the odd bitta T-Pain right? But this album is too much. Autotune fucking overload. The album would be so much better with just the featured artists. Soz T-Pain.

Based on last night’s finale of TOWIE (The Only Way Is Essex), where Mark Wright and James “Arg” Argent were crying in each others arms, we’ve complied a list of guys who have grown together as more than friends. There is NOTHING dodgy doing on, but you can’t help but think what would happen if they were in a sauna together…

10. Batman & Robin (Comic + Film)

Despite the gadgets, the cars and the girls many questions have been asked about the caped crusader and his trusty sidekick since Robin’s arrival to DC Comics in 1940. Like ‘Why do they wear masks? Are they constantly blushing at each other?’ and ‘Who waxes who’s machine?’ Anyway, a lot of respect has to go out to this bromance, these legends have watched over Gotham (and each other) for over 60 years.

9. Chandler and Joey (Friends) (The One Where They Had A Bromance)

Chandler Bing and Joey Tribbiani have been through the highs and lows of any good bromance. Over 10 years they’ve lived together, hated each other and even given each other grooming tips;

Joey: Oh, hey! You guys are finally gonna get to meet Kate! (To Chandler) And I borrowed some of your cologne. I hope she likes it.

8. Turk and J.D. (Scrubs)

In their minds Turk and J.D’s relationship is totally co-dependent, J.D needs Turk’s cool and Turk needs J.D to make him look cool by comparison. In actual fact the pair are as corny as each other, whether “Eagling”, sharing a mutual with their stuffed dog Rowdy or hugging each other more than two people of any sex really should, Turk was so helpless without J.D that following his departure from the Scrubs universe, the show collapsed. Did that make J.D the dominant figure in the bromance? Perhaps. But Turk was in Clueless.

7. Kevin Nolan and Andy Carroll (Football)

A bromance forged while tearing through Championship defences during Newcastle United’s solo season in English football’s second tier, the plump pair shared a home following the lanky striker’s [later dropped] charges of assault. Billed as the original odd-couple, it’s rumoured that Nolan was furious to discover that Carroll was using his home for some fairly outrageous sexual outings. Fate tore the two apart when Liverpool paid £35Million for Carroll in January, with Nolan later dropping back into his Championship comfort zone, which seems the ultimate destination for Andy Carroll if he fails to ignite on Merseyside as hoped. This bromance is destined for round two.

6. Kanye West and Jay-Z (Music)

The two living legends come across, and rightfully so, as living legends but behind all the Givenchy and all black everything, their sibling rivalry is nothing short of genius, and human. Shawn Corey Carter signed Kanye West in an attempt to keep the guy at arm’s length (reference the intro to J. Cole’s Rise & Shine), they shared more of a slightly dysfunctional father-son relationship than a bromance until Yeezy edged himself past former bro Damon Dash to become Hova’s go-to guy. Currently sharing The Throne, who knows if the relationship would have blossomed into a fully fledged bromance if not for a certain shaved headed video model breaking the fish-stick loving producer’s heart? We’re hoping for Watch The Throne follow-up 808s and Paintballing.

5. Richard Keys and Andy Gray (Football)

How do you keep a bromance bromantic after years of totally neutral man love? The answer is simple, you adopt the old Little Rascals philosophy of No Girls Allowed. No seriously; NO GIRLS ALLOWED. Not in the studio, not on the football pitch. Keys and Gray’s closeness eventually came at a cost following a high-profile firing by Sky Sports, but their relationship was about way more than a television contract, they’re currently enjoying a second honeymoon on TalkSport.

4. Seth and Evan (Superbad)

Miss each other? No thank you. I don’t…miss each other. Whether modelling tight jeans for each other [“There’s not enough pants, where there should be more pants”], helping each other get laid [“You don’t want girls to think you s*ck d*ck and pounding vag”] or even discussing the finer points of human relationships [“If some woman wanted to compliment me on my d*ck giving abilities I’d be psyched”] Seth and Evan’s lingering gaze in the finals scene of Superbad, the first time they’ve been separated since coming together as young boys [Evan having saved Seth from his penis drawing pariah status], paints the picture of a perfectly dysfunctional bromance, it was so bromantic we ended up falling in love.

3. Dacre and Chidi (RWD Magazine)

Over the last three and a half years we’ve seen Art Director Dacre Bracey (aka Dicky Brucey) and his Junior Designer-turned-Designer Chidi Ubani (real name, no gimmicks) forge a fearsome, pixel infused, font fueled tag team at RWD. This bromance has seen them finish off each other’s………..pages, work late nights (starring lovingly across the room at one another) and turn RWD into the innovative, creative and loved title it is today. Let’s just hope that loves stays in their Macs and doesn’t spew out for all to see.

2. Mark and Arg (TOWIE)

Last was very upsetting for those who’ve watched this budding relationship grow from mere mates who’d hang out together to two guys who aren’t afraid to share beds, tanning oil and who knows what else. It’s very hard to say which has been the best moment for the two (the various times they’ve put “bros before hoes”, multiple Mark makeovers on James, Arg walking out on a dinner with Lyd to go and see his bro who was “upset”) but we can easily say the final episode of the current season of the BAFTA winning series was the hardest.

1. Lil Wayne and Drake (Music)

Let’s be honest, Drake is kind of the bromance pin-up guy. Most likely to forge a meaningful long-term relationship with a cat, his woman troubles mean he’s always looking for a shoulder to cry-on. Young Money’s Phoebe Buffay; Drizzy’s the guy coming over to your house with the new game and coming to meet you after work for drinks. So the polystyrene cup wielding Lil Wayne is a natural choice for bromantic lead. He’s the boss, he’s the family man, he’s the one most likely to stand-up for Drizzy in a fight [and Drizzy will get in fights]. The news that Wayne and Aubrey have scrapped their joint album plans will stifle their developing bromance a litle, but the Young Money ship is never sinking, so Captain Weezy and first-mate Drake will continue on into the sunset.
