Tells Double S to leave the group…

Remember when mixtapes and freestyles were the vehicle of choice for beefin’ artists to air their dramas? Well, if Chipmunk’s anything to go by, those days are long gone. If you’re a 19-year-old, MOBO award-winning, chart topping artist the only way to call someone out is via the medium of Twitter.

With numerous awards and chart-topping singles under his belt, the Beast of all beasts, Chipmunk, yesterday dedicated an impressive 11 tweets to cussin’ grime collective, Marvell. This comes after Marvell’s Shocka seemingly dedicated an appearance on SB.TV’s F64 to Chipmunk. Despite not actually mentioning Chipmunk’s name outright, with lines like “I couldn’t give a f*ck if you rhyme tight, you need a genuine circle” and “never hate a man’s success, the only thing I’ll hate is if you blow and go on like you never even knew me”, comments on the YouTube page were unified that the freestyle was aimed at Chip Diddy Chip.

In response, Chipmunk posted a barrage of (Marvell aimed) abuse on his twitter profile including requests for Double S to leave the camp and go solo:

I might have to tarnish a “friendship” lol… People getting to big for their high tops !

How can a man be sooo bitter, where did dat hate come from….

…And the Twitter beef continues. The last we heard, Chipmunk had blocked Marvell from his Facebook profile and removed himself from the We <3 Marvell fanpage. Judging by that, it really must be serious.
