He might have been unceremoniously dumped from the England football team this year but David Beckham’s presence in the world of sport and fashion is still dominant and now he’s teamed up with long term endorsement partners adidas to release the a new collection capturing his style and essence.

Part of the adidas’ autumn and winter collection for 2010, the brand has brought on board James Bond (no not Britain’s best ever super-spy) who is the founder of the popular street wear brand UNDFTD. Bond has definitely captured the contemporary style and swagger (I think I’m gonna kill myself if I use that word again) of  Becks. Looks like The Force is still strong in the adidas originals x Star Wars Campaign with these new edition of Han Solo SL 72’s…

Ask any ‘proper’ fan who the best character in original Star Wars trilogy is and they’ll say (without a hint of hesitation) it’s Han Solo. See Luke Skywalker might of been the Jedi with all these special powers and a fancy light sabre but he never had the rouge charm, quick wit and all over cockiness of Han Solo, plus he didn’t own the Millennium Falcon.

Adding to the fantastic adidas originals x Star Wars line the long running sports brand has decided to honour everyone’s favourite ‘Nerf Herder’ with his own shoe. Adidas have immortalised the famous moment from the Empire Strikes Back when Han (played by Harrison Ford) was imprisoned in a case of carbon slab on the sleek sliver SL 72 trainers.

Look out for these special edition kicks to arrive in selected retailers soon, in the mean time feast your eyes on these preview images.
