The FA Announce Week of Free Kickabouts With Mars Just Play

To celebrate the success of The FA Mars Just Play campaign, more than 150 free sessions will take place around England in October...

Theo Walcott, Scott Sinclair, Connor Wickham, Jack Cork and Marc Albrighton are among the enthusiastic and highly regarded young players helping to promote The FA Mars Just Play's week-long series of free Just Play kickabouts across the country next month.

Over 120 Just Play centres will open their doors to adult footballers of all ages and abilities for one week starting October 8 with more than 150 free sessions taking place around England during the Just Play Free for One Week initiative.

The campaign's ambassadors Sinclair, Wickham, Cork and Albrighton, who have all represented England at Under 21 level, will display their skills and allow a select group of local participants to join them in a fun, casual Just Play kickabout in their area. We caught-up with Theo Walcott as he joined a session in North London earlier this week for an interview you'll be able to read on RWDmag.com.

People can now sign up to the Just Play Free for One Week initiative by searching online for “Just Play”. The website features a search engine that allows players to find their nearest centre and sign up for their free session of football. Each centre is staffed by FA Mars Just Play Organisers; all of whom are FA accredited coaches with Level One coaching badges.

The FA and Mars launched the Just Play programme last June as they attempted to arrest the decline in adult football by providing facilities, organisers and an online tool that allows players to take part in casual football at a time that suits them. With weekly sessions running in over 150 Just Play Centres across the country, adults can go onto the Just Play website (www.TheFA.com/justplay), enter their postcode, and book themselves onto a kickabout nearby.
