Not since 1912 have Britain won a medal in gymnastics. Until yesterday, that was, as Smith, alongside teammates Kristian Thomas, Max Whitlock, Sam Purvis took the bronze medal after a successful appeal from the Japanese team saw them relegated from second to third position.
