The FA Cup; the greatest cup competition in all of sports [don't challenge us], is being sponsored by the greatest beer in all of America; Budweiser and in celebration of the union, their 568ml and 440ml pint-sized cans have been turned into trophies via Augmented Reality pioneers Aurasma.
This year’s design incorporates a navy blue banner at the base of the can which marks the season and includes the tribute ‘Here’s to the Dreamers’ as well as red ribbons falling from the cup’s handles.
The technology, activated through the free Budweiser Man of the Match App, is being rolled out as part of a wider initiative for the brewer, with users simply having to point their smartphone or tablet device at the new limited edition Budweiser beer cans to see The FA Cup magically appear in 3D.
Budweiser will produce 1.5million limited edition 568ml cans and 7million 440ml cans to help fans celebrate their team's FA Cup story. So whether you're a Port Vale fan [poor guys] or a Manchester City supporter, you can get your hands on the trophy this season.
