adidas Giving You The Opportunity To Design Boots For Lionel Messi

You have have your design worn by the greatest player of a generation if not all time with adidas...

In a brilliantly humbling campaign from the artist, magician, genius Lionel Messi, the best player in the world has come together with adidas to allow you to design a pair of his f50 boots to be worn by the man himself in a fixture later this year.

The miadidas configurator at miadidas.com encourages footballers to Create Your Own design and incorporate colour-schemes and personal touches and it's that very system that is inviting you to imagine and bring to life a boot for the little wizard.

The new miadidas configurator also makes it easier than ever for consumers to share their designs on social media and all of the designs made for Messi will be showcased via local adidas Facebook pages throughout the world. Messi himself will then select his favourite design and they will be custom made for him to wear on the pitch in December. The winning boot design must reflect the unique nature of Messi, meaning everything from the colour of the famous adidas three-stripes to the choice of message around the ankle is customisable.

On letting fans create a boot for him to wear on the pitch, Messi offered “In football you express yourself with your feet, which is why I like to feel like I have a connection to my adizero f50s. Knowing that your boots are unique makes you feel special and makes you play with more confidence. I’m excited to see the designs that my fans create for me on the miadidas configurator and I look forward to playing in them.”

The competition will launch on Leo’s official Facebook page where he has over 38M followers and is a precursor to a special miadidas “Next Gen Weekend”, which will involve nine top adidas players from clubs throughout Europe wearing uniquely designed miadidas boots on field in selected fixtures on the weekend of Saturday 3 & Sunday 4 November
