Open Mic UK 2012 Open Now

Following the successes of former winners Hatty Keane, Shak and Birdy, who is in the process of breaking America and has had songs featured in movies The Hunger Games and Brave as well as topping charts across Europe with her debut album, you now have the opportunity to showcase your talent at Open Mic UK 2012 with applications now officially open/

Acts that make it through the audition stage will get to perform to industry judges, A&R associates and celebrity guests. Judging last year’s competition and hopefully set to join the panel again in 2012 include Radio 1 DJs Annie Nightingale and Ras Kwame plus major record label reps amongst the judging ranks.

Open Mic offers finalists the chance to showcase to industry at the Grand Final at the IndigO2 within The O2.

There’s also £50,000 worth of prizes to be won, including an additional new main cash prize of £5,000 for the winning act to spend on development. The competition is also being filmed and broadcast for SKY TV!
