RWD were up in the place this bank holiday, under the westway getting well and truly wavey, check out what went down.
By the time RWD navigated our way through Portabello Road and into Major Lazer and Red Bull Music Academy's take on carnival, Montreal producer and DJ extraordinaire Lunice was manning the decks and of course managing to buss a skank or two in front of them too. All areas of hip hop were covered, each banger leading into another and thankfully a couple of no vowel neccessary TNGHT tracks, mixed in nicely allowing the speakers to do the dirty work, the bass drowning out the underground line running alongside the intimate party.

The dancers didn't dissapoint either, from the batty flickers to the multi hula hooping chicks to acrobatics not forgetting the Rio-esque carnival queens, there was enough to keep the crowds happy; bespoke t-shirt printing, cool photo booth to capture the moment and a whole load of beanbags to rest our bones.
But it was towards the end of Lunice's set that the jet black side-shaved sporting head appeared above the decks that it became known the first surprise guest was going to be LA's dubstep don Skrillex. We can't explain just how crazy the crowd reacted to seeing the guest and after he did his thing testing the bridge's stability to the fullest with his bass tingling beats, RWD thought it best to take time out to chill out by the bar, naturally, drinking Red Bull with just about anything!

A quick look to the stage later and the man with the MBE aka David Rodigan was mic in hand warning the revellers about the history lesson he was about to drop on them, warming things up for the mohawked Sean Paul whose show did a lot, dropping hit after hit. It normally would have been hard to follow that up but when it's your party you kind of have to, as did Major Lazer who brought pure party vibes to the place from bashment to D&B and their own hybrid music. Even a very Jamaican inspired Rita Ora showed up on stage to support Diplo et al!

Thanks go out to Red Bull for another goodun', you can see from the pics exactly what kind of day was had!
Just remember next year to get those applications in early so you don't miss out this time!
