Directed by Rock Jacobs and produced by New Treatment, Cleo Sol is getting ready to drop the video to her new single Ready and we've got an up-close look at the shoot courtesy of the director.
I wanted to show a fun day in the life of Cleo – highlighting her edgy style and unique personality. Everywhere she goes she brings life and energy.
I am really into making clips as cinematic as possible, every shot stylized like a fashion spread - Constantly moving with depth.

Music Videos have evolved immensely over the years, trends have gone from the original performance in 80s to the more over the top flashy commercial pop in the 90s which carried into early 2000s. Now I feel things are moving towards more cinematic - at least through my eyes. Performances should be over the top, not just a white CYC, it needs to be a real place people can feel. Each one of my clips has a unique tone and vibe. This was sassy and sexy in every way. I am big on making my Artists come off larger than life. Infusing each shot with vivid color creating surreal visuals that burn a lasting impression of the Artist in your mind.
I really wanted to give Cleo a backdrop she could be free in. Barcelona was that perfect place - amazing architecture - something new and exciting around every corner for people to see. The song is very bright and full of life, the type of song that would make you want to run and dance through the streets if you were listening on your ipod...and again Barcelona has the most amazing roads. I want viewers to feel that energy when they are watching, to be engaged to the point you jump out of your seat and want to join in on.
