The first Call of Duty title released on the PS Vita was always going to be a key marker for the success of the handheld console and with Sony making a slew of Vita related announcements at Gamescom this week, it will be hard to see beyond Call of Duty: Black Ops Declassified as the most important.
The PS Vita has massive potential as an online gaming tool but to prove its value in the market it's going to have to make inroads into the largest of online gaming communities and the CoD universe will represent the ultimate sink or swim.
Call of Duty: Black Ops Declassified will take place between Call of Duty: Black Ops and Black Ops 2 and will feature single-player content as well as 4-on-4 multiplayer as well as classic modes Team Deathmatch and Kill Confirmed. Check the trailer below.
Call of Duty: Black Ops Declassified will be packaged in a bundle with the PS Vita and released separately in November.
