6. Limbo

Limbo is a dark game with the scenery created entirely out of silhouettes and shadowy objects. Although on the face of it this may seem like a gloomy platformer, it actually has a solid but disturbing storyline running throughout. And obstacles are not championed by simply jumping on them or eating a plant that will help you breathe fire on your enemies, Limbo’s gameplay consists of strategically conquering tactical puzzles and timing your movements perfectly. This is one platform game that would scare the life out of Super Mario.
