Giggs Wins Best UK Hip Hop at the BET Awards

As soon as we heard that South London spitter Giggs had taken the Best UK Hip Hop trophy at the BET Awards over the weekend, we had to get the man himself on the phone to find out how he felt about the victory.
Traditionally a man of few words Hollowman just let us know that he was “happy to win the award,” for which he went up against Wiley, Ghetts, Skepta, Chipmunk and Dizzee Rascal, and also that he “wants to thank the fans for their support,” before he had to rush off to an appointment for what has been a busy trip for the ‘talking the hardest’ rapper.
Trapstar Giggs also let us know that he appeared on DJ Drama’s Hot 107.9 radio show whilst in the States alongside Busta Rhymes, E40 and J Rock. Giggs linked up with Drama who is known for his Gangsta Grillz mixtape series and is also the official DJ for T.I. on Friday and as soon as we have the audio link we’ll let you know. We’ll also get a full catch up with Giggs once he’s back in the country and also look out for more of Hollowman in the next issue of the mag.
Other winners on the night included Kanye West, Alicia Keys, Chris Brown, Lil Wayne and Missy Elliott amongst others.
