Kanye Rejoices Over Love Lockdown
Artist:
Kanye West
Despite last week’s shenanigans Kanye West is rejoicing over the feedback from his latest material, Love Lockdown…
Kanye debuted the single last week on his official blog and there are definitely mixed feelings on this one. Of course loyal fans have expressed their delight at the new track. I’m sure fans would find a way to stand by their man even if he was standing over a mutilated bear and had a blood soaked baseball bat in his hand (sorry RSPCA).
The latest log from Kanye University sees the multi-talented artist in Hawaii but still in studio mode. “I just woke up from a quick studio nap... I've been workin' on 808s and Heartbreak about 16 hrs a day,” he writes. “I'm in Hawaii but I'm still on NY time so I wake up mad early, do some business, blog, jog for an hour, play ball, eat and then hit the stu[dio] by noon.”
Meanwhile further down the blog, his new single has a sea of positive comments. One devotee writes, “love the jam” and another posts, “hot sh**” but, admittedly there are an equal amount of confused fans. One says, “I don’t know if I like this song yet, but I can’t stop listening to it…” The infusion of taiko drums and vocoder-ridden singing from ‘Ye is really not like anything he has put out there before and proving to be hypnotising. Kanye, according to his blog, is marvelled at the fact “that it was written less than 3 weeks ago.”
