But the top earner spot is still a tightly fought position, with Forbes recently announcing hip hop's highest earners as being 50, Jay and Diddy.

At the top spot is Curtis Jackson who earned over $150million last year - $100million of which was due to the sales of Vitamin Water to Coca Cola.

Fif earned double that of Jigga Man, who took in a cool $75milli from his Live Nation deal, live shows and other endorsements and corporate work. In third place is Sean Combs, followed by the Louis Vuitton Don, Kanye West in fourth position.

Tupac continues to coin in around $15million a year from royalties, proving that dead people literally earn more than us. Which is depressing on many levels.

Anyway, well done to Fif' - he may have become one of the most universally resented rhymers, but he's still laughing all the way to the bank!
