Hed Kandi are kicking of their Artiste Series with one of San Francisco's premier house spinners, Miguel Migs. The album is called Those Things Deluxe and is a snippet of what the Kandi crew have got in store for the rest of the year.
Disc one titled Deluxe will combine live instrumental with sun kissed grooves that are fit for the beach, living room or club. Look out for collaborations with Groove Armada, Tim Fuller and the fabulous Lisa Shaw. We are loving funked out jam Sometimes, definitely a summer jam, not forgetting the reggae inspired Fire which is perfect for carnival fever.
The second disc recruits some of the scenes premier producers to remix the original tracks, hence the title, Those Things Remixed. Look out for Crazy P’s deliciously smooth and soulful trademark sound in the tune Sometimes and Rasmus Faber’s superb edit of So Far. Miguel’s own unique remix style can be heard on several of the tracks, tweaking and restyling bad boy tunes like Make Things Happen and Giving It All. This ubber sunny cd should be the soundtrack to your holiday.
