New Nas (Audio & Video)
Artist:
Nas
His controversial album is released this Monday, and it might just be Nas' best yet - we give Untitled a 4/5, that may just be upgraded to a 5 after a few more spins!
Now, I love Wayne and Wiley as much as the next person, but sometimes, we all need some brain food, music that makes us stop, think and question. On his latest, and possibly greatest since Illmatic, Nasir Jones provides hip hop with honesty, reality, truth and some hard-hitting lyrical lessons. Dropping politics without being boring is a delicate balance, but God's Son pulls it off brilliantly; fusing hard-hitting hooks with intricate, conscious lyrics, Nas has made the most important album of his career. The N Word, the US government, Fox News, and human's in general are all dissected over drums by Cool & Dre, Salaam Remi, Jay Electronica, Polow, Toomp, stic.man and Mark Ronson. Incredible, impressive and important. Open your mind, free your soul y'all.
Below is a clip of his new track, Hero, featuring Keri Hilson and produced by Polow Tha Don and below that, check Nas taking to Green Lantern about the new album...
