Janet Label Drama
Artist:
RWD
While promoting her forthcoming world tour (which RWD can't WAIT to see), Janet Jackson has spoken about he difficulties at her record label, Island. When asked what the next single off Discipline would be, Ms. Jackson admitted there's not about to be another release.
"That's pretty difficult to say, only because of the record label at this point. We started off with Feedback and the label and myself haven't quite seen eye to eye since, so they've basically stopped all promotion," she said. "I'm trying to figure out a way to say this, but just to say it and to be quite honest, they just stopped all promotion whatsoever on the album so I don't think you're going to hear another single off this album."
jackson hasn't had much luck with record labels in recent years. Virgin was unable to help her produce a hit record, and now the Island released record has been far from a success, despite LA Reid's confident presentation of the album in the UK earlier this year.
Looks like JJ fans will have to wait for Janet to hit the road before they see her anytime soon - or hope that the Mel B collaboration is worth listening to!
