Jay-Z Responds To Gallagher
Artist: Jay Z

After the recent controversy over Jay-Z playing Glastonbury, exaberated by Noel Gallager's comments as reported HERE, Jigga has finally responded with the following statement:

"We don’t play guitars, Noel, but hip-hop has put in its work like any other form of music. This headline show is just a natural progression. We just have to respect each other’s genre of music and move forward," said Jay.

"I’ve never ever had a show that’s caused this much of a stir so I’m really looking forward to it. I’ve never been involved in anything this controversial. What’s the big deal about doing a show? I guess it’s heritage and people hold that dear to their heart and see it one way but that’s how the world is. The world has to change. It just can’t be one thing - and that’s the beautiful thing. That’s why people feel so passionate about an event."

We say, good point, well made! We're not really feeling battling the Glasto mud, but we're definitely going to check Jay's UK shows and you know the Jigga Man always pulls it off! Roc on Hoooov! Hip hop has as much right as indie, pop or rock to headline a show - no one said anything about Kylie when she headlined! Music is about progression and well done to Glastonbury for taking a chance and changing up the formula. If people don't want to see Jay, there's plenty of other stuff they can enjoy at the festival...
