Soulja Boy, the hottest rapper alive? Well that’s what he’s saying anyway.
The last time that MTV released their top ten list of hottest MCs, Soulja Boy was still only YouTube famous. These days, the young rapper feels that he’s definitely earned his place on MTV’s coveted top ten. Not only does he think he deserves a place on the list, but he also believes he should be given the No.1 spot, ahead of artists such as Jay-Z, Kanye and Lil Wayne.
In an interview with MTV News, the rapper born DeAndre Ramone Way said; “If I look at the new list and I compare myself to all 10 of the artists and some don't add up, I'll be like, ‘Wow. I should be #1 if it's right now. I'm #1.’”
He was also specificlly asked if he thought that he was better than Hove, Weezy and Ye, and he replied; “Right now, yes [I'm hotter than them],” To add more emphasis to his claims SB also said; “Today, January — whatever the date this is — 2008, yes [I am the hottest],”
Wow, however, he has broken the world record for the amount of digital-downloads, which is estimated to be over 3 million. That’s not all, the Crank That-rapper also believes that he is a pioneer; “They'll say I opened up a lot of doors for people…if I never would have did this, [the next] wouldn't come.”
