Thanks to Fight Klub, Pro Green got signed to Skinner, Jin to Ruff Ryders, and Remy to SRC. Ok, so some of those signees were short-lived, but the point is they got given the chance.
Now UK heads can get their opportunity to show and prove when the Fight Klub UK arrives in London next week. The home of the Battle Rap, F.K comes to Cargo on Monday December 3. The "UK Stand Up" show will feature spinning by Semtex, and guest spots from 'Klub winners Iron Soloman and Murda Mook. Hosted by Ras Kwame and the infamous International P, the celebrity judging panel includes Reggie Yates, Mista Jam and Dan Greenpeace.
Star names aside, what is Fight Klub actually about? Well, it's the spot to come to if you think you have what it takes to be a Battle Rapper. If you can freestyle off the top, or deliver your pre-writtens under pressure, then this is the place for you. The finest battlers from all over the UK will compete for a spot to go head to head with the best in the US. Yep, win the fight on the night, and you will be flown to NYC to represent the UK at the next Fight Klub. And there's cash, cash money prizes to be won there.
As well as the chance to win a trip to battle in New York, the UK event is being broadcast on radio, MTV Base and MTV2' s Fight Klub, the No.2 show on the station. Footage will also be used on the infamous Fight Klub DVD, distributed by Universal Fontana all over the US.
