Kanye West made his first public comments about his mother's recent death, to fans at a Belgium show.

Rejecting the idea he should be at home in mourning, Kanye told the crowd he knew what he needed, and thats to carry on. "People called me telling me I should do this and do that. I appreciate the support and all that. But like, 'What you need to do is go home.' For what motherfucker? No one can tell me nothing."

Kanye insisted his mother would want him to be working. "If she was here, she would tell me to get on that stage and kill it. She would tell me to go on tour and be Number 1 like I taught you to be."
