Winehouse Rocks Edinburgh as Mum Fears for the Worse
Artist: Amy Winehouse

It’s been a troubled time for the Tears Dry on Their Own singer – let’s be honest, when’s it not – and the latest in a long list of worries has been expelled by Janis Winehouse, Amy’s mum.

Since the Back to Black star’s husband was sent to the big house accused of perverting the course of justice earlier this month, it’s said that the 24 year-old singer has been more than struggling. “My heart goes out to her.” Janis said to press yesterday. “She is under immense stress over Blake's imprisonment.”

Despite the successful opening night of her tour last Wednesday and Fridays gig in Edinburgh the concerns for her safety are clear. Of the tour, Janis let loose; "I wouldn't hesitate to tell her to pull out if I feared she was in danger. I don't want Amy destroying herself.” As supportive as ever the 52 year-old sent out a heartfelt message, “I think she will get by and come through what is a terribly lonely time for her right now."

Stayed tuned to RWDmag.com for the latest on your favourite Camden resident, as and when it happens. In the meantime, let us know what you think of Amy’s actions, tour performances or general views on life…
