Kanye's Mother Dies Suddenly

It's been a fantastic year for Kanye West, professionally and personally. As well as a No. 1 album in America, he also announced his engagement to girlfriend Alexis.
Yet, it's with great sadness that RWD must report that Kanye has lost the other important woman in his life, his mother.
Dr Donda West died last night. The cause of her death has not been released yet, but it is thought she was in a hospital in Los Angeles at the time. She was 58 years old.
Kanye and his mother were very close. Ms. West even write a book about her son, Raising Kanye: Life Lessons From The Mother Of A Hip-Hop Star. Throughout his numerous successes, his mother has been by his side; from the Grammy's to record release parties. And, as he has mentioned in various songs, she was also there to encourage him when no one wanted to know about some wannabe producer from Chicago. He devoted the song Hey Mama to her on his second album, Late Registration.
We're sure this news must have come as a huge and terrible shock to Kanye. We'd like to send our sincere condolences to the West family at this time.

i cant bilieve this. she just put out a book, i heard her on the radio a couple months ago, she seemed fine. i got a possible cause of death from a website but i don't think it is appropriate to say. im a teenager that really listens to his music and i know he is struck with tragedy and this will effect him greatly. i just don't know what to say. my heart goes out to kanye and the rest of the friends and family.

This is terrible news, I agree. I know Kanye is devestated and I send my condolences. This is the 1st place that I read any one feel bad or send condolences to Kanye. That is truly respectable of you all. It is good to see.

I'm gutted the tour is almost certainly off, but it kinda don't bother me as he can't be expected to put his heart and soul into it when part of his life has just been taken from him. My thoughts are with him, I just hope maybe he reschedules instead of cancels all together.
And to Jason H yeah i saw Fifty at the O2, it was one of the best shows I've been to and the Venue was awesome!

I have tickets to see him next thursday at the O2 :-(
O2 have said there is no news regarding cancelling the tour or putting it on hold. Statements are due soon from his management team. Personally I think he will carry on, surely the management team would have said something by now otherwise?
Tickets are still being sold on ebay, wonder if all the sellers realise they may have big refunds to dish out?!!!

For all the good people who shared the love on Kanye West and sold tickets on Ebay. Don't worry about having to give large refunds if the concert is cancelled as it is the Buyers responsability if they have purchased the ticket(s) before any cancellations come out. Sellers responsability if they know its actually cancelled and this can be proved. All tickets holders should go to where the ticket originated from E.g the Concert Hall /Arena.

If a concert is cancelled you will be refunded by the Arena, this then means it is up to the person who purchased the tickets to claim the money back and then pass onto the buyer on ebay. If they dont pay up report them to ebay. Easy as that.
I have this info from ebay after emailing them as I did buy mine thru them and was worried I wouldnt get a refund if the tour was cancelled and not postponed.
