There's been many a rumour about artists getting dropped recently. While the Mya one is said not to be true (which frankly amazes me. I mean, she's still signed?), MSNBC reckons that Jennifer Lopez is about to get the boot from her label, Epic/ SonyBMG.
J.Lo sold just 53,000 copies of her most recent record, Brave, her seventh solo CD. The old 'source close to the...' (in this case, record label) reckons Lo-Lo spends too much and recoups too little. Her make-up bills alone are said to cost around $8000 a day. A day. Sheet, I'm about to put myself through make-up school if that's what you can get for knocking about with a bit of mascara.
"The woman requires everything short of flying monkeys to get on a stage," said 'the source,' adding the album cover alone cost $60,000 in hair, make-up, photography and retouching.
However, an Epic spokesperson insisted the rumours aren't true. "We love Jennifer at Epic," they said.
In related news, Lopez is rumoured to be expecting twins! She hasn't announced the pregnancy yet, but is said to be hatching two little buns in that ever-growing oven.
