Too often UK urban DJ's are ignored when it comes to TV. Annie Mac, Zane Lowe, frickin' Jo Whiley and all them lot get a whole heap of airtime to tell us about what music they love and why.

But what about those who don't want to know about indie music? What about those that want to hear from DJ's into grime, dancehall, hip hop and R&B?

Well, luckily for us, MTV Base recently rounded up a whole heap of spinners from pirate, digital and FM radio, for 'DJ Takeover.' A brand new series starting on the station from 12 November, expect grime Tuesdays, reggae Wednesdays and dancehall Fridays that will highlight artists including Skepta, Cham and Common.

Not only that, but for an entire week, one DJ will share their favourite videos from past and present, anecdotes of how they relate to certain tracks, memorable DJing moments and how the music has had an impact on their lives…
