Shaggy Speaks Out Against Homophobia...

On the eve of the release of his latest album Intoxication, Shaggy has decided to tackle some pertinent issues.

First up is the touchy subject of homophobia in dancehall music.

"There's people starving and immigration issues and more ethical issues (to be concerned with)," he said. "There's a children's hospital machine where five kids die a day. I paid for a dialysis machine and that's the best $30,000 I ever spent. You got kids here dying and you're worried about someone being gay? Are you kidding me? Seriously, I don't get this."

He also showed love to the UK."I love England. I wish I'd done more concerts in London but I'm looking for the right promoter. In messing with these various labels over the years, the live aspect of Shaggy has been lost. And we're amazing live..."
