Prodigy Goes To Prison...

Mobb Deep's Prodigy pleaded guilty to gun charges in court yesterday.
On trial at the Manhattan Supreme Court, New York, P admitted that the .22 caliber pistol that was found in his car did in fact belong to him. Producer Alchemist was also in the car at the time, when Prodigy was pulled over by police for making an illegal turn. A subsequent search unearthed the gun.
P initially played dumb, insisting that he had no idea who the unlicensed, loaded weapon belonged to. However, he came clean yesterday, meaning he will have to do 3.5 years in prison as this is the third time he has been caught with a gun. While 42 months might seem a lot, had he pleaded not guilty but been found to have been lying, he could have copped 12 years in the big house.
Gun are of course illegal in the UK, so it's lucky he didn't get caught here, as he would have been looking at a lot longer than 3.5 years...
