West Loves T-Pain
Artist:
Kanye West
Over on Kanye's blog (thanks for the RWD shout-out Mr. West), the Louis Vuitton Don recently took readers behind the scenes of his new video for Good Life.
Directed by the guys from Justice (the same dudes that beat K at last year's MTV EMA awards), the video features T-Pain, the ringtone king.
Talking about the Vocoder-wielding Pain, West had nothing but praise. "It wasn't till Pain came in that we caught the exact energy for this song," he said, mentioning they'd tried hooks from Neyo and John Legend, but to no avail.
"People don't consider him a genius yet, he might have to put out a couple more songs, but it's retarded," said the Chicago MC. "He's the most important person in music right now."
"He called me," says Pain. "I dropped everything I was doing to come through."
