Kanye Trash Talks...
Artist: Kanye West

Kanye West took to US chat show Jimmy Kimmel this weekend to talk Fifty, MTV and bad reviews.

Of beating 50 he said: "I'm a fan of 50. It's tragic, you know. I guess you win some, you lose some. It's a good week. It's a bad week for that other guy..." he joked.

As for whether the whole thing was a big beef and Kan was quick to downplay any real rivalry between the two rap Gods. "It was never a feud," he insisted. "I think a lot of people were surprised that I even competed with 50 cos he's such a menacing force in the game. He's ended people's career before, you know? So I think a lot of people were on my side like, Rocky Balboa. I think the fight has been pretty fair though; he's been a really great sport. I had warned my friends and family, like I was preparing my girl..." he laughed. "But we showed that hip hop could really come back and sell records." With more than a million units moved between them, they definitely did!

As for whether 50 will now be forced to retire, and West was unsure. "I think that might just have been entertainment. Or he didn't realise that I just made the best album of my life," exclaimed Kanye.

Following the YouTube rant of him backstage at the MTV VMA awards, West had some heartfelt world for his MTV famo.

"I'm upset cos there's so many people at MTV that I love. Like Dave," he said totally randomly, before continuing. "I just feel betrayed. I don't want to be at war with MTV but I'm down about that. I want to celebrate with them. But now they're on the website trying to print up everything negative about me so it just hurts." West was caught on camera moaning that not only had he not won an award, but that he was forced onto a smaller stage while flop artist Britney got to open the show.

The press were also subject to some harsh words. "I want to shout out the New York Post and Entertainment Weekly for giving me a negative write-up - I just want to say you don't matter, no one believes you." he shrugged, before finally allowing some people to get a little love." I want to shout out Rolling Stone and XXL for doing a great article. Thank you very much."

Kanye also showed up at the EMMY Awards this weekend, where he did a parody of his MTV rant, proving he does perhaps have a sense of humour after all!
