In one of the most fiercely fought battles in rap, Kanye West and 50 Cent are both still in the race to the top. Yesterday, we reported that Fif was ahead, however today it looks like West has taken the lead.
Indeed, Graduation currently leads by an incredible two to one, with Kanye expected to sell around 700,00 copies of his third album, while Curtis should be good for around 550,000. If this is correct, this will be 50's worst first-week sales ever, showing perhaps that his popularity is undoubtedly in decline. As we also said yesterday, Kanye is some 10,000 sales ahead of 5-0 in the UK...
Of course, the tills are still ringing, so it ain't over till someone like Aretha Franklin starts singing...
