Nas Gives Hip Hop A Second Wind

How can hip hop be dead if Nas brought it back to life? The legendary QB emcee, fresh of the success of the classic album Hip Hop Is Dead, is already prepping his tenth album.
God Son is keeping tight lipped about this one, making sure that the project is under locks, keys and chains "I can't reveal it yet," he told MTV. "But if you remember, the original name for iHip Hop Is Dead was N---a. It was ahead of its time. [When the news leaked,] Def Jam immediately went out there and said I was being facetious. But that was the name of my album. I don't be out there with everybody. But I want them to know I'm heavily involved. That's why I do the titles I do. Hip Hop Is Dead was a great substitute. It was perfect timing for that joint."
Although no guest spots have been confirmed there is possibility of him linking up with iconic producer DJ Premier, in the tradition of some sort of Scooby Doo mystery all Nas said was “Who knows?". We’ll keep you posted.
