50 And Jim Jones Join Hands
Artist:
50 Cent
In one of the craziest twists in recent hip hop history, former beef-boys 50 Cent and Jim Jones will tour together next week.
Fiddy is about to do a Hot 97 '5-Borough' tour of New York, that will see the G Unit giant play Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, Staten Island and the Bronx. Joining him for those dates will be the original Balllller himself, Jim Jones.
Cent famously beefed with Jones' buddy Cam'Ron earlier this year. However, 5-0 always made a point that he was cool with Jim. Likewise, Jones kept out of the beef, leaving any lyrical arguments between Cam and Cent. "We're gonna show people that everybody can be at peace in the music industry," Dipset's Freezy Zeeky told DJ Waleed Coyote of radio station 102 Jamz. "It's about making that cake. Jim is gonna come out and support the situation."
50 is of course readying his third album Curtis, so the 5-Borough tour should be a nice warm-up to sell some extra [G]Units. Jim is on hand to help out and make sure everyone gets a nice piece of cake, continued Freeky. "What it is, is millionaires [are] talking to millionaires and we don't have no time to pull guns out on each other when we pass by each other. It's too much money out here."
Zeeky did however dismiss rumours that 50 was looking to bring Jones to his G Unit label. "Jim is not signing to 50," he said. "Everybody comes to the point of making up a situation where Jim wants to sign [with G-Unit Records] – no way. We Dip Set 'til the day that we die. That bird is flying high."
There's been no comment from Cam'Ron yet.
But there's a concert RWD definitely want to see!
Those around the Big Apple can check 50 and Jim out on the following dates:
13 Sept: Manhattan
14 Sept: Staten Island
15 Sept: Brooklyn
16 Sept Bronx and Queens
