Amy Winehouse’s Dad: Get Her Sectioned
Artist: Amy Winehouse

After Amy Winehouse’s father-in-law, Giles Fielder-Civil, appeared on Radio 5 Live yesterday urging her fans to boycott the Back to Black singer’s music. He also had a dig at Island Records the exact quote being, “Why don't the record company do more? We believe that the record company should be proactive in helping the couple get better. At the moment they seem to be hiding behind a label that the pair aren't drug addicts, they're exhausted or whatever.”

Now there’s a fully blown feud between the families and after a certain missed GP meeting Amy Winehouse’s father, Mitch, has dismissed the record label scapegoat and his views suggest the blame should go slightly closer to home, "Giles and Georgette [Amy’s parents-in-law] were due to come to that meeting but they chose to go fro a drink in the pub with Amy and Blake," he stated. "We have two families pulling in different directions. We want our children to be safe, but we have different definitions of how we can do that."

Mitch also recently explained to Radio 5 Live that her drug use has somewhat escalated, “In fact, she was proud of the fact that she didn't take any class A drugs at all throughout her career. We know she smoked weed - it's in all her albums. It's only been in the last three or four months that the journey has taken a different route.”

This morning reports are in that Mitch now wants to get his own daughter “Sectioned under the mental health act,” for her own good. However Amy and her husband Blake Fielder-Civil are now on holiday in St Lucia. He also explained to Radio 1 that he's been texting her and she replied that she’s, “fine.”
