Michael Jackson Pays Out Again
Artist: RWD

It seems Billie Jean singer has to wait a while before he can forget about his court dramas of 2005. The latest in the chain of events sees The King of Pop having to pay out more that a quarter of a million dollars in legal fees to the firm that handled some of the issues of the child molestation case.

It all started when the Torrance firm of Ayscough & Marar sued Jackson for not paying said fees after they prevented the release of information to the public and to lawyers in the civil cases against Jackson in Santa Barbara. Despite Jacko being acquitted the fees were still outstanding.

On June 26 Jackson’s attorney, Marshall Brubacher told a Los Angeles Superior Court Judge that they wanted to avoid going to trial over these issues and would love to prevent the monies snowballing, “we want to stop the haemorrhaging." On Friday the judge signed off that the same firm (who also defended the artist against Marc Schaffel’s $1.4m lawsuit) should be awarded $216,837 and $39,177 in interest.

Is this the end of Jackson’s money woes or is there more to come?
