Its one thing to mess with Snoop but it’s another to toy with his uncle. Responsible for tunes like Knock Me Out and Oops Up Side Your Head, The Gap Band veteran is taking continental beer label Heineken to court.
Heineken used parts of the Snoop Dogg’s, Beautiful that features Pharell from the Neptunes in a recent advertising campaign and Uncle Charlie marched fourth and filled a lawsuit against Capitol Records, EMI Music and Heineken Inc.
Capitol Records gave permission for the beer company to use the tune, but they were Snoop’s camp were not asked nor did they receive royalties for its use, not to mention the fact that Snoop probably is not even a fan of the 4% larger.
The Gap Band man is set to send the executives into confusion as he’s sure EMI owe him and his family hundreds of thousands of dollars. Further claims suggest that the royalties received from the songs Beautiful and You Got What I Want are on existent!
