Age restrictions, attire restrictions, time restrictions, enjoyment restrictions… Whatever happened to just going out, listening to good music and having a fun time? Well Goldielocks and If You Don’t Mind have had enough of these handicaps and have decided to go all David Cameron (hug a hoody) and put on an event for all ages (finally a rave for the RWD forum members!), and what’s more it’s all day so you can go when it suits you (or why not cotch there all day? No one’s gonna chuck you out!).
So not only can anyone come down, but you can wear whatever you want, in fact, you’ll be rewarded for it cos there’s a discount for rocking your BAPE, Artful Dodger or even Primark hoody.
For your listening enjoyment performances will include JME (I wonder if he’ll rock some oneaway BBK hoody), Tinchy Stryder (Star In The ‘Hood’), hip rock in the form of Tiger Force, Bolt Action 5, Electric Spoon, Outl4w and of course the chief instigator as well as RWD one to watch Goldielocks. Music from a vinyl source will be supplied by RWD’s very own Logan Sama, cover-star Example, as well as Baseball Furies, Tapedeck, Mac 3000, ADHDJS and the Snaggle Brothers.
Hoodratz takes place this Sunday June 10 from 2pm until midnight @ The Dome (above the Boston Arms), 172 Junction Road, Tufnell Park, London. Nearset tube is Tufnell Park.
Tickets are £9 on the door (£8 if you wear a hoody!) Or £8 in advance from puregroove.co.uk
