The album Music Is My Saviour hosts an album full of anthem-esq tunes that combine the East coast rap with the heat of the dirrrrrrrrrrrty South.

Music to Mims is like brown sauce to a fry up… it is essential. At the age of 13 Shawn Mims lost both his parents, orphaned and destitute he looked to music for inspiration and as a distraction from street life in NY. Now at the age of 25 his tune is getting pulled up on a global scale with the likes of Talib Kweli, Remy Ma and Junior Reid rating his music. The Black Out Movement produced the banger This Is Why I’m Hot and his album.
