The Beginnings Of House
Artist:
RWD
RWD would like to pay homage to all music that is Electronic. For it is 30 years ago that this genre was born.... That's right, in 1977 in Germany, four musical geniuses were already creating what was to be musical history and the basis of ALL Electronic music you hear or make today. So, my fellow RWD nerds, I bring you Kraftwerk, and more specifically, the 13min tune that is Trans Europe Express.
In '82, Afrika Bambataa sampled this track and created the first ever hip hop beat made with a drum machine. Planet Rock lit a fuse not only on this, but several genres of music; US Garage, Acid House, Hardcore and Techno to name but a few.
Here in the UK we have taken this to the limit; by infusing the Hardcore tempo and new, rolling beats and bass with Ragga samples, we created the phenomenom known as Jungle. We took the House beat, mixed it with R&B tracks and those swollen Jungle basslines and made UK Garage. The rest you know, but to think it was down to these four guys that could have passed for librarians, I think is pretty amazing! So, Kraftwerk, we salute you!!

your research isnt fact based nor 100% accurate, but youd probably get away with it on rwd seeings as it isnt exactly a cultured mag nor is it at all House.
