Michael Jackson is to be paid the handsome sum of £5 million, simply to turn up to what is expected to be the celebrity party of the year held by future multi-gazillionaire and heir of the Sultan of Brunei, Prince Azim.
The Prince who is turning 25 has spared no expenses for his birthday bash this weekend, which will take place at a plush English mansion. Guest expected to be at the event include, Jerry Hall, Naomi Campbell, Kate Moss, Barbara Streisand and even Rhianna (whose currently at No. 1 with Umbrella).
This will be Michael’s first appearance in the UK after the disgraced pop star performed a few lines at the World Music Awards last year and he’s already been flown in from LA for the occasion. A source told the Mirror: "Even though Michael won't be performing, the very fact that he'll be in this stately home mingling with all of the Prince's pals makes it worth every penny to Azim."
