Cam Keeps Quiet On Dipset Drama
Artist: RWD

As Dipset prepare to hit the Funkmaster Flex show tonight, to discuss Jim Jones’s recent comments regarding Cam being put ‘on punishment’, there’s still no word from Cam’Ron’s camp. The Hey Ma star is currently out of New York on business and unavailable for comment.

As has been widely reported, Jimmy recently contacted Miss Info, a popular NYC DJ and columnist, to say that there was indeed friction in the Dipset camp. "Me and Cam'ron haven’t spoken to each other in a year. I kept quiet out of loyalty, I felt like if we can't be friends then at least we can do business together,” says the Balllllin superstar. “But now I can't be next to you. I'm through wit’ being in hot water because of you. We still the Diplomats. We worked too hard to achieve our own success and now we're gonna do something new….”

Rumours of Jim and Cam’s falling out first surfaced well over a year ago, but both immediately refuted the stories. However, the gossip-machine was fuelled by Jones’ keeping very, very quiet during 50 and Cam’Ron’s recent beef, with many wondering why the Dipset Capo wasn’t backing his general.

Things are said to have come to a head in light of the Cam and Tru Life fight last week. Tru Life apparently punched Cam’Ron twice in the nose outside New York’s Club Stereo. Life insists Cam did nothing in response and almost made him feel bad after he apparently ‘teared up.’ While Cam’Ron admits there was an altercation, he said Life is lying about punching him. “There was a situation, I was by myself. I saw Tru Life, he came up beefing. One of his peoples were ‘right,’ I wasn’t (meaning, armed). He swung on me, his man flashed (meaning, a weapon). Big Joe (my manager) came over. The police came over,” he’s been quoted as saying. Several eyewitnesses attest that Life did hit Cam, leading many to speculate that this is what prompted Jones’ to finally admit there were problems between the two. Jones is unhappy with how Cam’Ron handled the situation and chose that moment to finally speak out.

In recent months, Jimmy has become the unlikely star of the ‘Set while Cam has suffered a huge slide in sales. Beginning life as Cam’s hypeman, thanks to the success of ‘Ballin’ and album P.O.M.E, as well as an executive position at Warner Records, Jim is truly riding high right now.

Find out the latest situation on RWDMag.com tomorrow after Juelz, Duke Da God and other Dipset’s hit Hot 97. Word right now is that Santana and others members are as surprised about Jones’ comments as fans are. I guess we’ll find out their thoughts later today and also just why Jim Jones is so damn mad.

One person who will no doubt be laughing ‘all the way to the bank’ right now is 50 Cent - there’s nothing like a little internal rivalry to bring a crew down. One mans loss is another mans gain and all that!
