Lil’ Wayne’s Drug Arrest

Lil’ Wayne from the Cash Money Millionaire was arrested on Monday for drug charges.
Born in New Orleans, the 23 year-old was arrested in Atlanta after police found drugs in his hotel room. The incident occurred after a hotel employee found what he suspected to be marijuana after carrying out security checks on the room. After a minor altercation where the rapper told the employee to leave the room, the police was called. According to the police reports obtained by MTV, Wayne - born Dwayne Michael Carter - was charged with “possession of a controlled substance, possession of marijuana, purchase of a controlled substance and other, minor offenses ”.
The self confessed Best Rapper Alive was later released on bail from Fulton County Jail for $11,000.
Lil’ Wayne’s last album was the double platinum selling Tha Carter Vol. 2 which reached No. 2 in the Billboard charts and the rapper most recently featured on Chris Brown’s Gimme That (remix).
