R&B June 2002
Artist:
Mariah Carey
It's official. Mariah Carey has signed with Def Jam. Now we know she has one of the most incredible voices the industry has ever seen, and we know she’s sold more records than any other female artist on the planet, but Def Jam, was that really a wise thing to do?
'Glitter', her first offering from Virgin was a flop and her movie was so many times worse; it’s not that we don’t like her anymore, or that any of us have gone off her. She went off herself and she’s gonna need some serious revamp work if any of us are gonna feel her again.
Dr. Dre recently announced that there will be two new remixes of b]Truth Hurts'[/b] club smash, 'Addictive'. DJ Quik produced the original, but Dre will handle the production on both remixes and we'll also see a new verse from the God,
Despite the tragic loss of TLC member, Lisa ‘Left-Eye’ Lopez, the new TLC album will still go ahead as planned. Rozonda ‘Chilli’ Thomas confirmed that the album is still on schedule for release and that both herself and fellow TLC member, Tionne ‘T-Boz’ Watkins have decided that Lopez will not be replaced. That’s because she CAN’T be replaced. The album should come out later this year and we wait to hear it.
