Just over ten years on from the planet altering Grand Theft Auto III was released, Rockstar Games are at it again with the cleverly titled Grand Theft Auto V.

In keeping with the general ambiguity surrounding early promotion in the Gaming industry, Rockstar Games have today unveiled a little logo for their upcoming title Grand Theft Auto V. No date, no info, just a logo and an admission that it does and will indeed exist. That’s enough for us.

The announcement of Grand Theft Auto V is interesting for a number of reasons, not least because it implies that the title, which we assume is at least six months away, will be released on the current generation of consoles. While many had speculated that the fifth installment in the Grand Theft Auto series would be held back for the PlayStation 4 and whatever the new Microsoft platform will be named, it appears that the title will be given a PS3 and Xbox 360 release.

The first Grand Theft Auto V trailer debuts next week [Wednesday November 2].
