The case of the ownership of the Sugabaes brand has been officially settled and Mutya Buena was clearly the big winner as she plans world domination through the medium of stationary and gift wrapping ribbons.

A decision was made in April 2011 over the much speculated challenge by Mutya Buena to own the Sugababes name after the last remaining member Keisha Buchanan was booted from the group and while the fourth line-up will continue to work under the name, Mutya Buena has managed to secure rights to Class 16 products “Paper, cardboard and goods made from these materials, not included in other classes; namely stationery, paper gift wrap and paper gift wrapping ribbons.”

It’s unclear whether Mutya intends to act on her new legal right, but if she walked into Dragon’s DEn with Sugababes wrapping paper, we’re pretty sure Theo Paphitis would be interested, not Deborah Meaden though, as everybody knows she’s secretly broke.
