Multi-Platinum singer Amy Winehouse found dead in her North London home.

One of the most tragic stars of recent years, Amy Winehouse’s journey has ended as she was found dead in her North London home today. One of the all time great vocalists, Amy had a troubled lifestyle with rumours of drug and alcohol addictions.

Early reports from Police say she was discovered at 4:05PM with the death currently “unexplained”.

The thoughts of the entire RWD team are with Amy’s family.

[Update 17.50] According to Sky News it’s unknown weather or not Amy’s father Mitch has been notified of his daughter’s death as he’s currently on a plane to New York to take part in a Jazz festival.

[Update 17.55] The police statement reads, “On arrival, officers found the body of a 27-year-old female who was pronounced dead at the scene,”

[Update 18.00] Kelly Osbourne tweets; “i cant even breath right my now im crying so hard i just lost 1 of my best friends. i love you forever Amy & will never forget the real you!”

[Update 18.25] Paramedics have stated that when they arrived the 27 year-old was, “Beyond help”
