In his cover-feature in this month’s issue of RWD, Skepta reveals that the example Dizzee Rascal set gives him a free pass to make any music he wants.

This month’s RWD cover-star Skepta has revealed that in his mind, the example Dizzee Rascal set to young artists, himself included has allowed the Grime pioneer the freedom to make any music he wants.

When asked about his vision original for his crew Boy Better Know, Skeppy revealed “I always saw the vision and it always involved Grime. I think that is why Boy Better Know has got to where it’s got to. I think it’s because we just always believed.” continuing “Dizzee Rascal was a great example of that, apart from of late. His new songs, he’s always kept it kinda grimy. That’s why he’s allowed to do what he can do. No one can chat to him.” asked whether Dizzee had a “free pass” our top tip of 2011 responded “Yeah he’s got a free pass. He was the one that showed me the bigger picture.”
