Jay-Z has given the green light to a biography featuring interviews from former partner Damon Dash.

Jay-Z and publishers the Penguin Group have announced that following on from the incredible success of Jay’s Decoded book, the pair will be releasing a biography in March featuring interviews with the likes of Damon Dash, DJ Clark Kent and Questlove.

The book which will be called Empire State of Mind: How Jay-Z Went From Street Corner To Corner Office has been written by Zack O’Malley Greenberg and will “focus on Jay-Z’s rise to fame as a rapper from the Marcy housing projects in Brooklyn to a mainstay on the majority of Forbes’ top earners lists.”

It still doesn’t look like we’ll be getting Hov’s Black Book autobiography any time soon but following on from the incredible Decoded, we’re definitely getting closer to Jay-Z than ever before.
